OLD SCHOOL SHOE SHINE BRUSH ATLAS BRAND A3 HORSEHAIR WOOD VINTAGE BROWN BRISTLE

Description

Incredible find! A real old school shoe shine brush. Solid wood top bearing the marks of the trade with scattered signs of polish, different bumps and scratches from being inside the workers’ box, and what’s really cool the brand name “ATLAS A3” is steel punch stamped on top of wood. I can find no other examples from this company! I date it from the 1930s to 1950s.
Bristles: Horsehair, brown. Condition: Even cut, well-cared, no damage.
I don’t know the type of wood - it is tightly grained.
Measurements: 8 5/8 inches by 2 5/8 by 1 3/4 inches (bottom wood to top or bristle)
